Abstract Sentiment Theatre Company, founded by Artistic Director Viktoria D. King, presents its first production of the 2013 Season. "Legacy: Marilyn Monroe meets Shakespeare " by Viktoria Dana King, will run July 11- July 13th, 2013 at the Alchemical Theatre Laboratory Studio B in New York City.

Marilyn Monroe meets William Shakespeare as well as other fallen stars, Billie Holiday, Lucille Ball and Freddie Mercury in a purgatory asylum run by the Warden; it is there where she becomes his muse.

As time has been unkind to William Shakespeare's mind, he yearns for inspiration and a connection that will enforce him to write again. This purgatory asylum for lost souls has made time irrelevant and emotions run high as all of the patients are forced to acknowledge the truth about themselves. This experimental production focuses on the simplicity of connection and the thoughts of a legacy one desires to leave behind as well as it showcases a side of Marilyn Monroe and William Shakespeare that is unknown to the world. This play explores the depths of text, sensuality, music and raw emotion.

The cast includes PA native James Nester as Shakespeare, Rachel Foote Baccus as Marilyn Monroe, Theresa Arthur as Billie Holiday, Daisy Guevara as the Warden and Ophelia, Julia Menn as Lucille Ball and Michael Anthony as Freddie Mercury.

Play dates: June 11-July 13th. All shows 7:30 pm at the Alchemical Theatre Laboratory Studio B, 137 West 14 Street, New York, NY. Tickets: $10 advance; $15 at the door. Online at: https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/925816https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/925816.
