Bruth Media presents a limited off-off Broadway run of Neil LaBute's comedy-drama, The Shape of Things, beginning Wednesday, November 16that Theaterlab (137 W.14th Street,NY, NY).

Directed by Brayden Hade, with assistance byEmily C.Walker, the cast is led by Barry DeBois,Chelsey Clime, Nick Fesette, and Karen Bray. Justyn Wade Dansby manages the production, with assistance from Morganna Bridgers.

The Shape of Things premiered in London in2001, with direction by LaBute himself. The castfeatured Paul Rudd, Rachel Weiz, GretchenMol, and Frederick Weller. The cast reprised their roles in the 2003 movie, also directed by LaBute. The Shape of Things follows the seduction and subsequent make over of hapless English undergradAdam by the provocative anarchistic M.F.A student Evelyn. The Shape of Things is considered the first inwhat is often referred to as LaBute's "Beauty Trilogy."

According to LaBute, "One of the many loose themesbehind the ‘beauty' trilogy is the ugliness that we're capable of spreading to other people in our lives and relationships if we're not careful."The Shape of Things is the inaugural stage production of Bruth Media. Established in 2010 byBrayden Hade and Barry DeBois, Bruth Media functions as a high quality media lab for artistic collaboration.

With background in multimedia, Bruth Media has produced severalshort films, web-series (including the musical comedy Rock-Star Café), photo series, musicrecordings, and graphic art creations in its infancy.Performances continue through November 18th,2011.
