Colt Coeur to Read Justin Kuritzke's THE SENSUALITY PARTY in NYC Tonight

Colt-Coeur-to-Read-Justin-Kuritzkes-THE-SENSUALITY-PARTY-114-20010101

Colt Coeur's Play Hotel reading series will present an industry reading of Justin Kuritzkes' The Sensuality Party on Monday, January 14th at 7pm at 80 Varick Street in Manhattan. Directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (Recall, Fish Eye, Seven Minutes in Heaven), the cast includes Lily Garrison (A Thought In Three Parts), Louisa Krause (The Flick), Drigan Lee (Six Degrees of Separation), Gayle Rankin (TRIBES), Cameron Scoggins (The Big Meal), and Matt Stadelmann (Seven Minutes in Heaven).

The Sensuality Party explores the ramifications of an orgy between a small group of friends on a college campus. A night that begins somewhere between a dare and a lark moves quickly from indulgence to danger to irreversible consequence. With a nod to the events of September 11th and the Occupy Movement, The Sensuality Party takes a blunt look at our culture's obsession with pleasure, pain and the blurry spaces in between.

Colt Coeur (Recall, Fish Eye, Seven Minutes in Heaven) is a NY-based ensemble of actors, designers, playwrights and directors dedicated to making original, story-driven, aggressively visceral theater. Play Hotel is Colt Coeur's ongoing reading series, and their principal arena for developing new work. They are currently developing projects with Eliza Clark, Matt Friedberger, Max Posner, Steven Levenson, and Caleb Scott. Previous Play Hotel readings have included: Adam Bock's Marcy Comes Homes, Jesse Weaver's We Shall Catch Larks and Alena Smith's Plucker.

National Playwriting Competition (Autobiography), the California Young Playwrights Contest (Hawaii), and the Blank Theater Company Young Playwrights Festival (Death and Taxes). He is a member of The Collectin, a Los Angeles/New York based company of writers, directors, and actors with whom he has directed his plays The Sensuality Party and As the Boat Approaches. His play Growth was a semi-finalist for the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in 2011.
