Glass Eye Pix/Fear-Mongers present: Tales from Beyond the Pale
With Larry Fessenden, Glenn McQuaid and Clay McLeod Chapman
$12 in advance, $15 at the door, $10 students / seniors
90 Minutes

Glass Eye Pix, the film company behind STAKE LAND, THE INNKEEPERS and I SELL THE DEAD, in association with FearMongers: Fireside Chats about Horror Films, is taking its successful audio dramas out of the studio and onto the stage. Inspired by the vintage radio shows of yesteryear, Larry Fessenden and Glenn McQuaid’s TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE has already thrilled fans of the macabre with a season of creepy dramas released last year. Now, they’re upping the ante and recording 8 new shows before a live audience. Journey beyond the Pale each Tuesday in October with a double-bill of original stories presented by an exciting cast of special guests and audio artisans.

Glass Eye Pix (“one of the indie scene’s most productive and longest-running companies” —Filmmaker magazine) is the fiercely independent NYC-based production outfit headed by art-horror auteur Larry Fessenden (THE LAST WINTER, WENDIGO, HABIT). Operating since 1985, with the mission of supporting individual voices in film, Fessenden has produced numerous critically acclaimed films, including 2012's THE COMEDY (Rick Alverson) 2011's THE INNKEEPERS (Ti West) 2009's WENDY AND LUCY (Kelly Reichardt), THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL (Ti West).

Clay McLeod Chapman is the creator of the rigorous storytelling session The Pumpkin Pie Show. Author of REST AREA, MISS CORPUS, and the upcoming YA-series THE TRIBE TRILOGY.

Fear-Mongers: Fireside Chats about Horror Films enlists top-shelf artists to pay homage to their guiltiest pleasures: horror movies. Part talk-show, part reading-series, Fear-Mongers is an entertaining evening for both horror fans and general spectators alike.

40 minutes

Inspired by the late American artist Forrest Bess and a number of Caribbean writers, including Édouard Glissant, Derek Walcott and Jamaica Kincaid, Kasse-Li explores why we make our bodies move and the consequences of those movements. Twenty-one years ago Haret tried to use her body to break History. And now here stands her child Kassee, discovering the aftermath through oration, correspondence, and song.

3 Nights!
Queer, interdisciplinary dance theater
Wednesday and Thursday, October 3 and 4 at 7:30pm, Friday, October 5 at 10pm
Micro-Mini Maxi Mystery Theater: En Total
$12 in advance, $15 at the door, $10 students / seniors
60 minutes

A vibrantly queer, media-rich dance spectacle exploring romance, activism, and alienation through science fiction art-rock narratives. MMMMT employs exaggerated breath, analog video, hyper-femininity, and high-energy repetitive physical movement (with goggles) as it follows a cast of characters through abstract outer-space adventures, smashing the capitalist state, and falling in and out of love and clothing. MMMMT unites and scrambles a trilogy of movement studies begun by Dellecave in 1999 in collaboration with a far flung cast of movers, shakers, and makers including theater provocateur Daniel Rosza Lang/Levitsky, video artist Niknaz, and textile artist L.J. Roberts.
