New York, February 4, 2013 -- Brief Acts, a division of Love Creek Productions, which has been producing plays in the Big Apple since the '80s, stages Filipino actor, playwright and director Joel Trinidad's comedy play "Witchslap," along with six others, via Brief Acts's play festival dubbed "February Flurries: Winter One Acts" at The Producers' Club (358 West 44th Street) from Friday, February 8 to Sunday, February 10.

Directed by Priyank Rastogi, Trinidad's "Witchslap" is a short comedy play about a love spell gone wrong.

"I sent my script for 'Witchslap' to Love Creek Productions when I was in New York last year. I was lucky enough to have my play chosen as one of the seven entries to Love Creek's latest festival," Trinidad told BroadwayWorld.com via email.

"'Witchslap' is my first play produced by another theater company. I'm beyond excited!" added Trinidad, who also wrote the lyrics for "Rivalry," which recently won Best Music for a Filipino Musical at the 2012 BroadwayWorld Philippines Awards, and is currently playing at Meralco Theater in Manila.

Besides "Witchslap," "February Flurries" also presents "Public Transportation" by John C. Davenpor, "Big Day for Baby Brad" by Sally Cragin, "Sun Tea and Bagels" by Le Wilhelm, "The Perfect Package" by Michael Reimann, "The Limo Guy" by Church Orsland, and "Weightless" by Danielle Wolff.

The play festival stars Julia Aiden, Mike Andrews, Majja Cave, Caitlyn Drown, Jamie Gardella, Karah Gravatt. Isaac Esau Gay, Amethyst Hertsens, Natalia Korablina, Ricki Lynee, Megan Murphy, Gala Radin, Tiffany Rothman, Yael Shavitt, Charlotte Thunhohenstein, Josh Triplett, Victorija, Tushaj, Emily De Villa, and Melissa Waaland.
