Horse Trade Theater Group to Send Off The Red Room with BLAZE OF GLORY, 3/1-30

Horse-Trade-Theater-Group-to-Welcome-BLAZE-OF-GLORY-to-The-Red-Room-31-30-20010101

After 15 years Horse Trade Theater Group is sad to announce that they will no longer be operating out of The Red Room, a 32-seat theater located on the third floor of 85 East 4th Street. The landlord has decided to repurpose the space, and it will no longer be a performing arts venue. Horse Trade will be searching for a new third venue, and in the meantime will continue to operate out of The Kraine Theater at 85 East 4th Street and UNDER St. Marks at 94 St. Marks Place, for the foreseeable future.

Horse Trade couldn't let The Red Room go without a proper send-off! So the month of March will be full of special events in The Red Room, as they say goodbye to a beloved East Village staple.

The Pumpkin Pie Show
Written by Clay McLeod Chapman
Monday, March 11 @ 7pm & 8:30pm $15
The Pumpkin Pie Show bids a bittersweet farewell to one of the theatres it grew up in: Horse Trade's very own beautiful shoebox...The Red Room. In a double-bill of some of our greatest hits, we pay our respects to one of our earliest venues in NYC sadly going the way of all those beautiful black boxes in the sky. At 7 PM, Hanna Cheek will bring her no holds barred performance of Commencement to the Red Room for a one night only event. At 8:30 PM, we will burn down the very walls of this theatre with our final Pumpkin Pie Show in the space. There will be nothing left of the stage once we are done. Watch us perform stories that got the neighbors calling the police on us to complain about the damn racket. With performances by Chapman, Hanna Cheek, Abe Goldfarb, plus special surprise guests from Pumpkin Pie Show's sordid past.

Tree of Life is a full-length drama about need and the mistakes we make in grief and loneliness.

The Skinny
