Judson Jones, James LaRosa and More Set for Theater East's LILIES Reading, 6/24

Theatre East presents the award winning play LILIES as the next installment in its NEIGHBORHOOD READING SERIES upstairs at O'Lunney's, 145 West 45th Street (bet. Broadway & 6th Ave.) on June 24 at 7pm (Cocktail hour begins at 6pm). The play by Michel Marc Bouchard will be directed by Ian Bjorklund. The cast features: Judson Jones, Todd Hawkins, James LaRosa, Marc Palmieri, Kevin Jones, David Schuller, Jay Rogers, and Neil Arthur James.
There will be $5 WELL DRINKS, HOUSE WINE, & BEER! Seating is limited and reservations are required. The reading is Pay-What-You-Can*. Make a reservation by simply emailing readingseries@theatreeast.org. *$10 suggested donation.

Almost forty years after being falsely imprisoned, a man summons a Bishop for a confession that involves the events of their shared past. What unfolds is a story of love, revenge and enlightenment that is reenacted by the man's fellow inmates and leads up to the moment that changed both of their lives forever. This award winning masterpiece employs the simple story telling and unique elements of live performance that inspire us at Theatre East.

The Neighborhood Reading Series helps us do just that while fostering relationships with playwrights and their work. The Neighborhood Reading Series allows us to expand our horizons even further because it is outside the confines of a full production. In addition, it provides a platform for discussion and community by celebrating plays you may have heard of along with some that might be a bit more obscure or even brand new.
