C de B Productions and The Dubrovnik Shakespeare Festival present MUNDO OVERLOADUS, a new play written and directed by Michael Lederer.  MUNDO OVERLOADUS runs from September 7 through 12, 2010 in a world premiere engagement at Performance Space 122, located at 150 1st Avenue (at East 9th Street) in NYC.

Many plays deal with loss of innocence. MUNDO OVERLOADUS is about the attempt to preserve innocence in the face of a modern world where that seems practically impossible.  We live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with information. At a time when we view life through screens of our monitors and mobiles and mp3 players, MUNDO OVERLOADUS lifts our social shields and tackles the trials of our 24-hour world in the play's premiere at P.S. 122.

The MUNDO OVERLOADUS cast features Dan Cozzens, Daniel Foley, HerBert Gould, Jake Hart, Laurel Holland, Arlene Kieta, Matthew LaSpata, Michael Lederer, Mark Turetsky, Carolyn McCandlish, Jess Peritz and Graham Sack.  The design and production team consists of Gordon W. Brown (Set Design), Gianluca Baccanico (Digital Design), Steffen Niemann (Video Design), Mary Ellen Stebbins (Lighting Design), Suzanne du Charme (Costume Design), Nate Putnam (Sound Design), Amy Stebbins (Producer) and Michael Givey (Stage Manager).

Author/Director Michael Lederer is an éminence grise of his generation. After growing up in the ivory towers of New Haven and Palo Alto, the son of Stanford historian Ivo Lederer has lived a variety of lives. From squatting in a teepee in his twenties to rejuvenating the arts scene on the Adriatic coast, Lederer has a refreshingly unique perspective on the highs and lows of contemporary living, examined in his first dramatic work MUNDO OVERLOADUS.

Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 8pm, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for students and can be purchased online at www.ovationtix.com or by calling 212-352-3101. Running time is 90 minutes, with no intermission.
