On July 6th and 7th, the Oddfellows Theater Project, a group constructed of dedicated young artists and an experienced production team, will be putting up a unique production of Romeo & Juliet free of charge.

Oddfellow's goal is to create exciting theater that embraces the odd and unusual! Our revamped company is presenting a FREE night of booze with bloody fights, suicide, vengeful plots, and two guys kissing! We promise a night you won't forget....and if you don't like it....you will get a full refund.

This version of Romeo & Juliet portrays the tragic love story through the eyes of a wide- eyed 18 year-old boy, reimagining the story as Juliet. As an electrical storm rages outside, Jeffrey heads into his attic hoping to escape the struggles of his everyday life. In this attic, he creates his own version of Shakespeare's dangerous tragedy about sex, death, lust, violence, betrayal and teen suicide. With astounding power and intensity, Romeo and Juliet explores a love story between two boys and shows their vivid exploration of youth, sexual identity, and the liberating powers of love.

The Oddfellows Theater Project, formally the Young Artist Production Project (YAPP), is excited to present its first few free nights of theater. Its previous New York productions included The Laramie Project at the Looking Glass Theater and Elegies for Angels Punks and Raging Queens at the Triad Theater.

The play will be directed by, OTP's artistic director, Ryan Berman. It features new actors Jason Spina, Charles Munn, Sarah Sirota, Madeline Del Real, Meghan Blackman, Michael Greehan, Robert Stevenson, and Ryan Hyde.
