POWER BALLADZ Declares September Jersey Pride Month

September will be JERSEY PRIDE MONTH at the new rock show, POWER BALLADZ, now playing at the Midtown Theatre (163 W. 46 St.) in Times Square, NYC. Featuring some of the most unforgettable rock anthems of the 70's 80's and 90's - songs by Jersey's own BON JOVI, QUEEN, JOURNEY, HEART and MOTLEY CRUE - POWER BALLADZ tips its bandana to the Garden State with a series of Jersey-themed special events throughout September:

September 2 to 8 is 'JERSEY SHORE' WEEK - Patrons who dress like their favorite character from the popular TV series, "Jersey Shore" will receive a free drink, although theatergoers who dress like the series star 'Snooki' will NOT be allowed to drink - all evening

Sept. 9 to 15 is billed as NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE WEEK - Bring someone you met while driving on the Jersey Turnpike - or even something you picked up along the side of the road, like a spare tire, maybe -- and get a free drink.

Sept. 16 to 22 is 'REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY' WEEK - Dress like your favorite housewife from the television series and receive a free drink. Theatre management notes: No table-flipping allowed.

Sept. 23 to 29 is FAMOUS FROM NEW JERSEY WEEK - Dress like your favorite Jersey-born celebrity - maybe Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston or even Thomas Edison - and get a free drink.

POWER BALLADZ is a new rock cabaret musical that features some of the greatest rock anthems of the 70's, 80's and 90's: not your typical theatre experience, POWER BALLADZ is a 90-minute rock tribute that gives audiences the chance to unleash their inner rock star: part comedy, part interactive game show, and a genuine joy ride through the music and legend of rock songs by powerhouse bands such as Guns 'N' Roses, Journey, Heart, Queens, Bon Jovi, Styx and more. POWER BALLADZ comes to New York following a sold-out premiere at The LABTheatre (formerly the Guthrie Lab Theatre) in Minneapolis, and is presented Off-Broadway by Bruce Johnson, Mike Todaro, and Dan Nycklemoe.

POWER BALLADZ is directed by Mike Todaro, and features a cast which includes Dieter Bierbrauer (AS YOU LIKE IT, PIRATES OF PENZANCE at The Guthrie, FIGARO at American Repertory Theatre and Theatre de la Jeune Lune, and the original cast of POWER BALLADZ in Minneapolis), Scott Richard Foster (BROOKLYN on Broadway, SESSIONS), and Mary Mossberg (NEXT TO NORMAL,WONDERLAND: ALICE's NEW MUSICAL ADVENTURE.)

Performances of POWER BALLADZ are on Thursdays at 9 pm, Fridays at 7 and 10 pm , Saturdays at 6 and 10 and Mondays at 9 pm.
