Post-Apocalypse, written and produced by Lisa Haviland and directed by Cheryl King, is a direct account of life in post-flood New Orleans, which brought the city's extremes-the good, the bad, the absurd, the hilarious-to the fore.
In this two-act play, the returning New Orleanians, fresh off their forced sabbaticals-also known as their refugee phase-struggle to reclaim their home and, at times, to even recognize it, but are held together by the bonds of friendship.

The play is dedicated to William Joseph Embley (March 11, 1962-May 18, 2008), a writer and lifelong New Orleanian who embodied the spirit of resilience amid the hard realities of life in the post-apocalypse.

All proceeds from the staged reading series will be donated to NO/AIDS Task Force in New Orleans, which offers a full range of physical, social and mental services for individuals impacted by HIV and AIDS.

Tickets can be purchased at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/133582.
