Previews Begin Tonight for No Anita No's FRIENDS AND RELATIONS

Tickets-Now-On-Sale-for-FRIENDS-AND-RELATIONS-20010101

"Friends And Relations" by Marc Castle is being presented by No Anita No Productions (Tom Keegan) under the auspices of Fractured Atlas, a leading supporter of the not-for-profit art sector, Off Broadway at the June Havoc Theatre (Abingdon Complex), 312 West 36th Street (off 8th Avenue), NYC. The limited engagement begins on December 1 and the Opening is Sunday, December 4 at 2:00 pm.

The warm, witty and poignant play is directed by Adam Fitzgerald.

The young talented cast includes: Dan Amboyer (Dean), Joel T. Bauer (Cory), Nigel DeFriez (Glen/Steve), Matt Golden (Miles), Vince Nappo (Byron), Ben Roberts (Bobby) and Christopher Sloan (Ross). The Scenic Designer is David L. Arsenault; Lighting Designer - Travis McHale, Costume Designer - Erica E. Evans, Sound Designer - Ian Wehrle, Assistant Costume Designer - Rachel Guilfoyle and the Production Stage Manager is Jessa Nicole Pollack and the Assistant Stage Manager is Stefanie Wagner. The casting director is Paul Davis (Calleri Casting).

FRIENDS AND RELATIONS celebrates the lives of 7 gay men: Miles, Dean, Byron, Ross, Bobby, Corey and Glen in New York City during the wild hedonistic late1970's and the sobering 1980's (one of the most exciting decades in gay history), as they search for love (and other things) in a world gone just a bit mad. For a decade, it loosely follows the particular relationship of Miles & Corey, and how they affect their larger group of friends as they meet, break-up, reconcile; and as the friendships change with the times that push the boundaries of friendship, love, sex, family and loyalty. Through success and failure, through break-ups and breakdowns, it also explores the nature of friendships in the gay community; friendships that, in the end, take on all of the (positive and negative) attributes of a family and what it means to have true relationships in a world where old definitions no longer apply.

Marc Castle is a playwright/lyricist/composer/actor/director/singer who started in the business at the ripe old age of nine, performing over the years around the country and for such esteemed off-Broadway venues as the Circle in the Square and Playwrights Horizons before turning to writing. Productions of his work have been seen at EST, The Neighborhood Playhouse and Raw Impressions at La Mama, and his song "Big Beehive Hair" was featured in the film, "Urbania." He was Literary Manager for Emerging Artists Theatre where he has had eight short plays produced. Other recent works include One Brief Shining Moment; Young King Arthur - the musical recently won the National Children's Theater Award, which included a production at the Actor's Playhouse in Coral Gables, Florida, and the musical Hollywoodland, recently given a developmental reading at Emerging Artists and on the short list for the O'Neill Conference. His musical, Love, Incorporated, was presented at the Midtown International Theatre Festival where it won Outstanding Production of a Musical. He is member of The American Renaissance Theatre Co., TOSOS, Equity, SAG, ASCAP, the Dramatist Guild, and an alumnus of both the BMI Composer/Lyricist and Librettist Workshops.

Adam Fitzgerald is a founding member of kef theatrical productions, where he has directed many productions and readings including Killing Women, Lyric is Waiting, V, Roll, Corpus Christi, Artists Rising, Michael Pesce's Old Fashioned Piano Party, Girl in the Goldfish Bowl and The Female Terrorist Project. Adam has served as a Directing Fellow at Playwrights Horizons assisting Wilson Milam, Bartlett Sher and Kate Whoriskey on plays by Nicky Silver, Craig Lucas and Christina Anderson; as the Artistic Associate at Playhouse West (where his production of Defiance garnered Critics Circle nominations for Director and Production; Top Ten Productions by the Contra Costa Times) and the Associate General Manager at Theatre Row. Other directing credits include Ground Up Productions, EST Diverse City Theater, First Look Theatre Co., The SF Theater Festival, WE Theater (with Ironjaw Productions) and the FringeNYC.
