Six Plays Advance to Finals at 37th Annual Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, 10/28

At the half-way mark of their 37th Annual Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, Samuel French announces the first six plays that have moved on to the Finals to be held today, October 28th in four sessions beginning at 1:00 pm in the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row: ANNIVERSARY by Rachel Bonds, WHAT GOES UP by Allyson Morgan, JAZZ VISITS GAY NEW YORK by Emily Chadick Weiss, NAKED EYES by Dean Imperial, FORGETTING TO REMEMBER by Greg Kalleres, and IN NAKED TIME by Jason Jung. With first round performances remaining on Friday and Saturday, additional plays will be advanced to the Finals where the Samuel French Editorial staff will select six for publication and representation.

The Off Off Broadway Festival started in 1975 and is Manhattan’s most established short play festival. Hundreds of theatre companies and schools have participated in the Festival’s first thirty-six years, including companies from coast to coast and abroad.
