The Seeing Place Theater's LOVE SONG Begins Run Today 11/23

The Seeing Place Theater, known for intensely intimate ensemble work, will begin the run of John Kolvenbach's LOVE SONG today.

This ensemble cast features Erin Cronican (National Tour: Suds, The Rockin' 60s Musical Soap Opera, Off-Broadway: Danny and the Deep Blue Sea) as Molly, Marnie Klar (Fringe NYC: Fleet Week, The Musical) as Joan, Javan Nelson (Regional: The Shape of Things) as Bill, BranDon Walker (Off-Broadway: Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and The Seeing Place's Look Back in Anger) as Beane and Jason Wilson (Chicago: Robert Johnson Tricked the Devil) as Harry. Erin Cronican directs this play.

Meet Beane. He's depressed. His well-meaning sister, Joan, and brother-in-law, Harry, try and make time for him in their busy lives, but no one can get through. Following a burglary on Beane's apartment, Joan is baffled to find her brother blissfully happy and in love with his assailant, Molly. Suddenly Beane's got something to live for, and that's contagious enough to transform his sister's life too - right down to the nuts and bolts of her marriage. Unfortunately, Beane's got a problem that could land them all right back where they started. Funny, enchanting and wonderfully touching, John Kolvenbach’s Olivier Award-Nominated, offbeat comedy is a rhapsody to the power of love in all its forms. “What secret ingredient makes you think things are Possible?"

The show has a limited engagement November 23 - December 9, 2012 (Wednesday through Saturday: 8pm, Saturday and Sunday: 2pm) at The Seeing Place at ATA's Sargent Theater, 314 W 54th St, 4th Floor. Tickets are just $12 and are available by calling SmartTix at (212)868-4444 and at www.smarttix.com. For more information visit www.seeingplacetheater.com.

The Seeing Place Theater is an actor-driven ensemble known for its intense and intimate work - with ticket prices anyone can afford. Since 2009, we've been forcefully committed to:

THE Actor's Process: Through robust table work and improvisation, we focus on honoring the actor's artistry in creating a character and building a story, which extends from rehearsal into performance. It's a pro-actor philosophy, and it's rare in today's market.

Organic Storytelling: Unlike other companies, we do not cement our choices in advance. Instead, what audiences get to see is a group of actors "in the moment" - working off one another to tell a fresh story that is never the same night to night.

Community Value: We produce our shows in Hell's Kitchen in the heart of midtown Manhattan, a community hungry for strong, independent theater to combat the high priced, commercial offerings of Broadway. We've been awed by the positive response by critics & audiences about the unique, quality work we've been able to share at a price point audiences can afford - $12 a ticket.
