The Directors Studio Extends MARION BRIDGE

Due to an overwhelmingly positive response, and sold-out performances every evening, The Directors Studio's presentation of Marion Bridge has been extended.

The Directors Studio a division of The Directors Company presents Marion Bridge by Daniel MacIvor directed by Laila Robins with Laura Butler, Jessica DiGiovanni and Shana Wiersum through February 10th, 2009 (excluding Sundays) 7:30 PM at The Directors Studio 311 W. 43rd St. 4th Floor, New York, NY 10036 Tickets are $10
For reservations call 212-246-5877 or e-mail directorscompany@gmail.com

In her directorial debut, Laila Robins directs Marion Bridge by Daniel MacIvor, a story of three sisters' struggle to reconnect. Past longings are revealed, choices examined, and hope surfaces as they consider building a new life from fragments of the old.

Ms. Robins has appeared on Broadway in Heartbreak House, Frozen (Lucille Lortel nom.), The Herbal Bed, and The Real Thing. Other notable appearances include A Streetcar Named Desire at both the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago (Jefferson Award) and The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Antony & Cleopatra and Sore Throats (Lucille Lortel nom.) at Theatre for a New Audience, the award-winning revival of Edward Albee's Tiny Alice at Second Stage and the Off-Broadway and National Tour of Mrs. Klein (Jefferson Award and Helen Hayes nom.) with Uta Hagen. Ms. Robins recently had the pleasure of working with renowned director John Doyle on Sarah Ruhl's translation of Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters (Cincinnati Acclaim Award). Movies include Planes, Trains and Automobiles, The Good Shepherd, and the just released Loss of a Tear Drop Diamond. Recent television appearances include HBO's In Treatment and Bored to Death.
