WE Theater in association with Iron Jaw Company will present a revival of Cindy Lou Johnson's play, BRILLIANT TRACES featuring Erica Linderman (Iron Jaw Company's Women of Manhattan) as Rosannah and William W. Warren (The Secret History of the Lower East Side at EnGarde Arts) as Henry Harry. The production will be directed by Adam Fitzgerald (Artistic Director of kef theatrical productions; Directing Resident at Playwrights Horizons) with Fight Chorography by David Anzuelo and Set Design by David L. Arsenault.
BRILLIANT TRACES follows the journey of a runaway bride forced to seek shelter at a remote cabin deep in the wilds of Alaska, home to a reclusive hermit. As a blizzard rages outside the two struggle with the truth about the lives they're both desperately trying to escape. Can two lonely and fractured people save themselves without tearing each other to shreds?
BRILLIANT TRACES originally premiered at The Cherry Lane Theater in 1989. Frank Rich of The New York Times reviewed the production saying "Ms. Johnson has spun an alternately comic and anguished fable about contemporary men and women who run away from home - whether from parents, children or mates - and she has written it with an imaginative disregard for pedantic reality."
The production, presented by WE Theater in association with Iron Jaw Company will play a three-week engagement at The Arclight Theater (152 West 71st Street) July 6-24; Wednesday through Sunday at 8pm with additional performances Sundays at 3pm. Tickets ($20/$17 students & seniors) will go on sale Thursday, June 9 and may be purchased online at www.theatermania.com or by calling 866-811-4111

IRON JAW COMPANY is a theatre company dedicated to the honest and truthful portrayal of women. We believe that all women possess varying degrees of class, strength, and style, and want to show that through the production of plays featuring a wide array of female characters, while giving back to the community through donations to organizations and charities that deal with and support women's causes.
Iron Jaw Company was founded by Erica Linderman, Kitty Lindsay, and Teresa Reynolds. These three women all come from creative backgrounds, though their friendship was forged through their real world jobs. A production of The Vagina Monologues inspired them to continue their theatrical journey together. Being involved in the producing of that show helped them realize a need to create real and honest portrayals of women in theatre, and Iron Jaw Company was born. The women of Iron Jaw Company want to create a dialogue with the audience about the roles women play in their homes, work, relationships and society. Above all, we want to present honest and truthful portrayals of women, not caricatures. If we aren't rigorously honest about our work, then we do a disservice to women everywhere who all have a story to tell.
