After the passing of her parents, Dorothy Gale goes to live with her aunt and uncle in Franklin, Kansas. After living in Kansas for almost a year Dorothy and her dog Toto are whisked away by a cyclone to the magical world of Oz. Once there, Dorothy meets a talking tin man, a dancing scarecrow, & a cowardly lion and receives a pair of the most elegant Silver Shoes. She sets off with her friends towards a Emerald City. She finds herself changing, growing, & learning - and by the time her musical journey is over, she has finally found a place in her aunt's heart as well as "A Place to Call Home". Dive deeper into the character of the creatures, people, and situations that Baum created. Come along with us as we combine history with this great American classic tale, and journey with Dorothy as she fends off Wolves, Crows, and Kalidahs, all in an attempt to get back to her Kansas Home and to her Aunt and Uncle who realize how much they love her. Introducing Sarah May Shaffer as Dorothy Gale, with Tony Award winning dog trainer William Berloni bringing her cute little furry friend to the stage for the journey.
