So I was going through the TKTS app to see what was on the boards. And believe it or not, what show should I see there but Peter and the Starcatcher. And, I was just wondering, does anyone else but me find it to be odd that an opening night for a Broadway show is on TKTS? I had always been under the impression that opening nights are invite only and if there is anything left after that then they would sell them online like always. Has there been other shoes that have had there opening night on TKTS?
Many times the balcony or rear-theatre seats are available for purchase. (both online and TKTS) I've attended a few Opening Night performances by simply buying tickets, and have, on occasion, been lucky to snag a last-minute orchestra seat.
It's not uncommon... (although I've never seen opening night orchestra on TKTS)
I checked out the available seats for PASC on Ticketmaster today, and it looks like seats in the balcony are available.
