There are a few things that have been announced as limited runs, but nearly everything is open ended...so it strictly depends on sales. A show often gives only 2 weeks notice its closing.
There are some plays that a set end date like Venus in Fur (June). If you poke around Broadway.com you can find out the closing dates of shows that HAVE announced.
i would think jesus christ superstar, the lyons, and leap of faith will all die by July. venus in furs should not be too far behind. just my opinion. with alot of GOOD theater on the boards they will not be missed.
My bets for shows still running through July will be: -Newsies -Nice work -Harvey -Porgy -Chicago -Evita -jersey Boys -Jesus -Sister (The producers wont let it die yet unfortunatly) -Leap -Mama -Mary P -Memphis -Spider -Once -Rock -Book -Lion -Phantom -Wicked -War -Death I would imagine will extend an extra couple months based upon sales.
I'd put Godspell in there too, Corbin Bleu brings a different fanbase, especially into the summer when school is out. I defintely wouldn't count them out
mmh1019 - saw Corbin Bleau in "In The Heights" and he was very good. He was also very sweet at the stage door and posed for pictures with my daughters.
