Telecharge only has the show listed as sale thru August 25th, but when you click to buy tickets it lets you buy till November 17th. Could they possibly close August 25th? I mean it seems silly but I guess it's a business
With the November 17th date, they know tickets are selling so why not put the show onsale thru the holidays now?
I guess the bigger question is why does this block of tickets stop at November 17th since we know the show will be here atleast thru the new year why not sell tickets for the holidays now? I can understand waiting to put new tickets onsale for shows that aren't doing well but Phantom is well Phantom
No...Rock of Ages is closing, Wicked is moving into the Helen Hayes, Phantom the Gershwin and CARRIE is transferring to the Majestic for an open-ended run.
Not for anything, but I feel like the OP has asked the "...going to close?" question on several occasions. Shows have booking periods. They add onto those dates. Then they add some more.
Phantom would have to not be selling tickets well for a long period of time for long period of time before the producers would even think of closing it. It recouped ages ago so anything beyond their weekly nut is profit. And I'm sure they're finding ways to reduce that all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if I died before phantom closed and I'm barely in my 20's so hopefully that won't happen anytime soon. Although, I wouldn't mind Phantom closing this year. Didn't think much of it.
"Telecharge.com? You were going to go buy full-priced tickets to THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA? "
Huh? There are tons of codes for discounts that let you book directly through Telecharge (or Ticketmaster, for that matter). Why would you think anyone using the site it paying full price?
