Ticket sales after Tonys

Any increases in ticket sales?

NEWSIES' daily sales doubled and ONCE's daily sales were 5 times greater. Those are the only two I know of.

Peter and Porgy (a new title for the future??) both reported increases -- but not to the extent of Newsies and Once.

The info I saw (in print) only discussed the day after: so comparing the average Monday to the Monday-after-Tonys.

I would guess we MIGHT hear again after a full week.

Venus In Fur was full last night, complete opposite of last week.

When I picked up my Will Call ticket for Once on Wednesday afternoon, they were telling people that both the matinee and evening performance were sold-out. The line for future sales was pretty long for a Wednesday afternoon.

Venus in Fur being full likely has more to do with the fact that it is the final week of the show than the Tony Awards. But good for them going out with full houses.

"End of the Rainbow" claims to have a significant increase as it offers tickets to Jan. 16.

I was at the Once box office last night inquiring about SRO (which they weren't offering at that time, I guess they were sold out). That night's show was sold out, and my impression was that the show is selling very well post-Tonys.
