The Bridge Production Group will present World Premiere short plays by Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley (Doubt), a staged reading of a new play by Lyle Kessler (Orphans), and a workshop on devised theatre with new presentations from The Assembly.

Swipe, scan, pause, like. Swipe, scan, pause, like. Feel familiar? Part of the attraction and addiction to scrolling through social media is its mind-numbing repetition. A similar effect infuses the U.S. premiere of SEE YOU: a group of verbose 20-somethings vying for superior digital cultural status weight the risks and rewards of creating and sustaining a digital presence. For these seemingly self-absorbed characters, their lives are defined by (and basically depend on) how well they curate compelling online personas. Thus, what begins as an egocentric free-for-all eventually dovetails into how a deliberate data breach among friends (with benefits) exposes secrets, truths and consequences.

To celebrate the United States premiere of Guillaume Corbeil's See You, presented by The Bridge Production Group at The New Ohio Theatre, La Délégation Générale du Québec a New York (Jean-Pierre Dion, Director of Cultural Services) will sponsor a free post-show reception with cheese and wine in honor of the opening weekend, immediately following the 8pm performance on Saturday, September 7th. There also will be a brief talkback with playwright Guillaume Corbeil, director Max Hunter, and members of the cast and creative team.

The Broadway Bound Theatre Festival (BBTF) will feature The Reigning Princess Of Pop, a new play with music by Craig Donnelly. The show is set to open on August 13th at The 14th Street Y Theater, with additional performances on August 14th and 19th, before closing on August 20th.

RISE will play a three-week limited engagement at Theatre 54 (244 W. 54th Street, 12th Floor). Performances begin tonight, April 5 and continue through Saturday, April 20. Opening Night is tonight, April 5 (8 p.m.).

Genet's menacing and hilarious world of political intrigue, violent revolution and distorted eroticism is measured against the mass-media manipulation of today. THE BALCONY will run from tonight, October 11 to November 4 at The Arclight Theatre located at 152 West 71st Street. It will be presented by Horizon Theatre Rep (www.HTRonline.org).

Gobsmacked! Productions, LLC is set to launch their new season with a limited revival of Clay Edmonds' play SICKS: An Evening with Six of the Most Notorious Women in History which will run from September 11-16 at walkerspace. The play was first produced in 1996 at the Acting Studio and this production will feature direction from Clay Edmonds and Janet Jenness.
