Rising Phoenix Rep continues the Cino Nights series on March 25 at 7 p.m. with FAVORITES at eventh Street Small Stage, 43 East Seventh Street.

The Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artistic Director; Sue Abbott, Managing Director) kicked off their 2011 season with an outdoor production of Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing, directed by Daniel Talbott and starring Sara Thigpen and Nate Miller. Following the sold out performances and overflow crowds at its first five Cino Nights presentations (ofGary Sunshine's BEST SEX EVER, Mando Alvarado's (O)N THE 5:31,Courtney Baron's HERE I LIE,Florencia Lozano's BUSTED, andKristen Palmer's THE STRAY DOG), Rising Phoenix Rep continues the series on February 13th at 7 p.m. with Emily DeVoti's THE UPSTART. The play features 'a Brooklyn butcher, a young writer looking for a place of her own, and Brigid Hitler. Of Long Island.' And asks, 'How do we become who we are? A series of little, tiny choices.'

Following the sold out performances and overflow crowds at its first two Cino Nights presentations (of Gary Sunshine's BEST SEX EVER and Mando Alvarado's (O)N THE 5:31), Rising Phoenix Rep continued the series November 7th with Courtney Baron's HERE I LIE which was performed by Denis Butkus and Samantha Soule to a sold out house. In this two-character play, 'Maris and Joseph have made their beds and now have to lie in them. Two people connected by illness, loneliness, and the need to be understood, they navigate the murky waters of subjective truth. If you believe it, can you make it true?' The production was directed by Rising Phoenix Rep artistic director Daniel Talbott.
