Pale Fire Presents European Premiere of New Musical HOSTAGE SONG, 6/22-7/8

The European premiere of Clay McLeod Chapman and Kyle Jarrow's indie rock musical Hostage Song opens at the Finborough Theatre for a limited run of nine Sunday, Monday and Tuesday performances on Sunday, 22 June 2014 (Press Night: Monday, 23 June 2014 at 7.30pm).

On Friday, July 11 at 9pm, Chiller presents the next installment in its Chilling Visions anthology film series, Chilling Visions: 5 States of Fear. The film comprises five shorts inspired by five basic human fears, with each short set in a specific location across five different U.S. states. 5 States follows 2013's inaugural installment, Chilling Visions: 5 Senses of Fear, which included a film by critically-acclaimed young director Emily Hagins.

Our Summer Season opens with two classic rediscoveries from Northern Ireland. Following the success of the Finborough Theatre's rediscovery of St John Ervine's Mixed Marriage in 2011, we now present the first English production in nearly 100 years of his Ulster tragedy John Ferguson, playing 20 May-14 June 2014. It is accompanied on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays between 25-10 June 2014 by the first London production for more than 40 years of Stewart Parker's classic 1970s drama Spokesong.

New dramatic works by Tony-winning playwright John Guare (House of Blue Leaves, Six Degrees of Separation) and dramatist, screenwriter and film director Neil LaBute (In the Company of Men, The Shape of Things and Reasons to be Pretty) highlight a three-night festival of new short plays and monologues at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe (236 East 3rd Street). Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Cafe's literacy and afterschool programs, which serve thousands of students from disadvantaged communities.
