Outside New York City, it is Connecticut that has almost an embarrassment of riches when it comes to theater. Forty years ago, a group of actors, writers and directors, including Keir Dullea and his late wife Susie Fuller, founded Theatre Artists Workshop as a place where they could experiment and cultivate new works, hone their skills, and work with their peers in a place that is safe from the glare of the public spotlight.

Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's award-winning professional theatre company, presents 'Short and Sweet: The Plays of Jim Gordon.' 'The Knight Before Christmas,' a new holiday musical by Bert Bernardi and Scott Simonelli has opened at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre Children's Company in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Featuring a cast of fifteen, the medieval holiday musical plays now through December 30th.

A new musical based on Elise Primavera's New York Times Best-selling Book Auntie Claus is set to open at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The show will open November 17 and play through December 30.
