JOHN LODGE, legendary bass player, songwriter and vocalist of The Moody Blues and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, has added a special symphony show to serve as the finale of his previously announced winter 2023 US tour, “Performs Days of Future Passed.”  LODGE will perform with the Coachella Valley Symphony on March 26.

LODGE, together with his 10,000 Light Years Band and the Coachella Valley Symphony, will perform The Moody Blues’ iconic Days of Future Passed album—which marked its 55th anniversary on November 10, 2022—in its entirety, with a special recording by the late Graeme Edge and performances by Jon Davison of YES.

The show will also feature a set of the pioneering classic hits “Ride My See-Saw,” “I’m Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band),” “Isn’t Life Strange,” “Legend of a Mind” and “Nights in White Satin” in what promises to be a truly spectacular evening. The Moody Blues' Days Of Future Passed will be celebrated with an expanded 50 th Anniversary Deluxe Edition to be released November 17 by UMe. The deluxe 2CD/DVD and digital audio edition features the album's newly restored original 1967 stereo mix, which makes its CD debut here.

The Moody Blues, still rocking in 2013 with original members Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Graeme Edge, have released 24 albums in a career spanning nearly five decades. They have sold more than 70 million albums, earning 18 platinum discs and all manner of awards including Playboy "Group of the Year", the "Golden Ticket" award for selling the most tickets at Madison Square Garden and an Ivor Novello for Outstanding Contribution to British Music; the band has even appeared in an episode of "The Simpsons."

French talent Thomas Ray has this week unwrapped a beautiful ball of sunshine called 'Everybody's Free'. The bright and warm instrumental release fantastically stacks progressive chords with a package of soothing pads, upbeats pianos and an array of morphing effects and swells, all tied together in what's a classic feel-good instrumental piece of work. Thomas has a talent for tying together timbres from modern styles with classic House, Electro and Italo-Disco, resulting in a truly refreshing style that's become his own. You can tell from his discography that the producer is more than inclined to move around genres, taking inspiration from various times and sounds, but he brings it all together in a way that for the listener, is really unique and enjoyable to hear. Many producers stagnate in sounds for too long and fail to find originality when surrounded by the same styles - this is not a problem Thomas Ray has to worry about. Clearly a man of varied taste musically, you can hear it in his productions that there are no limitations to his sound palette and that's a hard thing to find in 2013.
