In Licking Batteries, electricity is both literal (in the use of electroshock therapy to treat mental illness) and metaphoric (in the sparks between people), and it gets used in a multitude of ways to tell an engrossing story.

A new program is coming to town! Music Dance Theatre Workshops brings Broadway performers to Indianapolis to give personalized coaching and performance instruction to young actors in the central-Indiana arts community. All teaching artists are originally from the Midwest, most with ties to Indianapolis. These performers, many with Broadway credits, are excited to give back to the community that shaped them into the artists they have become today!

Colonna Sonora, 2010 New York Innovative Theatre Awards nominee for best original music, will provide a live acoustic score, and members of the critically acclaimed production team of Toy Box's 2009 'Tis Pity She's a Whore return to bring this multidisciplinary work to life. Performances will be at Choicirciati Cultural Center, 64 E. 4th Street, New York, NY beginning October 22, 2010.
