Elephant Theatre Company Announces Upcoming Season

Elephant Theatre Company, David Fofi and Lindsay Allbaugh, Co-Artistic Directors, has announced its 16th season, which will kick off on April 26 with the Los Angeles premiere of The North Plan by Jason Wells, followed by the world premiere of Revelation by Samuel Brett Williams, and concluding with two plays in repertory by Timothy McNeil, a new production of Anything and the world premiere of The Twilight of Schlomo.

Ars Nova kicks off its 2013 season with The Netflix Plays, which begins performances January 30. This production, the newest installment from Ars Nova's Play Group, is set to play 10 performances from today, January 30 - February 9. The Netflix Plays, this year's incarnation of Ars Nova's annual Play Group production, features original short plays and live music inspired by the recommendation categories on the Netflix website.

Seven Devils Playwrights Conference Comes to McCall, Now thru 6/23

id Theater returns to McCall, Idaho for the 12th Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, today, June 11 through June 23, sponsored by the Alpine Playhouse. Playwrights, actors and directors from around the country will travel to McCall and, working with local artists and students, develop ten new plays that will be presented to the public free of charge. Since 2001, the Conference has developed more than 100 new plays by some of the most exciting voices in American Theater.

TheatreSquared today announced the lineup for the 2012 Arkansas New Play Festival, the theatre's fourth annual celebration of new works for the stage. The festival will feature staged reading performances of four professional plays, a showcase of ten-minute plays by Arkansas high school students, and Northwest Arkansas's sixth annual 24-Hour Play-Off. In partnership with the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, T2's lineup of new works will also be presented at Oxford American Magazine's new venue in Little Rock (1300 Main Street, May 17-18). The lineup of events in Northwest Arkansas will take place at Walton Arts Center's Nadine Baum Studios (505 W. Spring St., Fayetteville). Each new play reading will be followed by a conversation with the playwright, director and cast.

The Camisade Theatre Company will present their inaugural theatrical production, the World Premiere of Derby Day, written by Samuel Brett Williams and directed by Michole Biancosino, starring Jared Culverhouse, Malcolm Madera, Jake Silbermann and Beth Wittig. Derby Day runs from November 30 to December 17, 2011 in a limited engagement at The Clurman Theatre, located in the Theatre Row Complex at 410 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues in New York City. Previews begin November 30 for a December 1 opening.
