The 2019 NY Indie Theatre Film Festival opens tonight, February 8 at 7pm, with the NY festival premiere of Poor Behavior (2016), written by Theresa Rebeck. Based on her play of the same name, Ms. Rebeck (upcoming spy thriller 355, Broadway's Bernhardt/Hamlet, NBC's 'Smash') makes her film directorial debut with this dark, dysfunctional comedy. Rebeck will participate in a talkback after the screening, moderated by Marc Stuart Weitz, New Ohio Theatre's Producing Director.

The Sarasota Film Festival (SFF) today announced its full line-up, including its Centerpiece, Spotlight, Narrative Feature Competition, Independent Visions Competition, Documentary Feature Competition, Narrative, Documentary, and Short Films. After a successful debut at last year's Edinburgh Festival, Derek Ahonen's one-woman show opens on 9 February at the King's Head Theatre. Catherine and Anita is a dark comedy about heartbreak, mental illness and how those in need so often slip through the cracks. Ahonen is an internationally acclaimed playwright, director and founder of The Amoralist Theatre Company in New York.

 After a critically acclaimed, sold-out run at The New York International Fringe Festival, the Soho Playhouse will present The All-Americans's production of SCHOOLED, written by Lisa Lewis and directed by James Kautz (Artistic Director of The Amoralists), as part of the Fringe Encore Series, running October 5 - 17, 2015.
