Thematically expansive within its intimate performance space, the paradoxical primordial soup swirling in COSMICOMICS blends the essential elements of earth, air, fire, and water with music, storytelling, ballet, and absurdist humor.

From April 17 to 29, New Stage Theatre Company, under the direction of Ildiko Nemeth, will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a re-staging of its 2014 production 'Cosmicomics,' derived from the Italian novel of the same name by Italo Calvino, translated by William Weaver, adapted for the stage and directed by Ildiko Nemeth.

The award winning New Stage Theatre Company will open its new permanent home, The New Stage Performance Space, located at 36 West 106th Street, Manhattan, from March 31 to April 30 with the debut production of 'Rules,' a multimedia theatre piece conceived and directed by Ildiko Nemeth.  The piece is based on 'The Rules' by Charles L. In the piece, an aging scientist, realizing his inquiries continually return him to a model of his own mind, devises a set of experiments that blur the distinction between his inner and outer worlds. New Stage Theatre Company (NTSC) made an auspicious La MaMa debut last season with 'Oh, Those Beautiful Weimar Girls!,' an evening of the music and dance associated with exotic dancer Anita Berber, who symbolized many the decadence of Weimar era Berlin. 'Mapping Möbius' reunites director Nemeth with the team of that production, notably Julie Atlas Muz (choreography), Federico Restrepo (lighting design), Javier Boné-Carboné (costume design) and actors Peter Schmitz, Chris Tanner and Markus Hirnigel.
