The annual Hermitage Greenfield Prize Dinner on Sunday, April 14th honored playwright and theater maker Deepa Purohit. This was the central event of a three-day celebration, hosted by the Hermitage Artist Retreat (Andy Sandberg, Artistic Director and CEO) in partnership with the Greenfield Foundation. The Hermitage Artist Retreat will present the 16th year of the Hermitage Greenfield Prize Celebration. The events span from Saturday, April 13th through Monday, April 15th, including the annual Hermitage Greenfield Prize Dinner in Sarasota on Sunday, April 14th.

New Jersey Repertory Company (NJRep) will kick off its 27th season with the world premiere of Nandita Shenoy’s ESSPY, directed by Peter J. Kuo.  The world premiere play will begin shows on February 22 and run through March 17.

Ma-Yi Theater Company has announced that Lisa Sanaye Dring has been awarded a 2024 Tow Foundation Playwright Residency. Ma-Yi has also announced the 2024 Ma-Yi Writers Lab cohort, which is the largest collective of AANHPI playwrights in the country.

MILE SQUARE THEATRE has announced their holiday play of their 20th anniversary season: The World Premiere of THE CHRISTMAS TREE FARM, directed by RACHEL DART. THE CHRISTMAS TREE FARM will play a four-week limited engagement at Mile Square Theatre.

Live & In Color is accepting submissions for their 2024 Fall retreat at the Bingham Camp. Playwrights, composers, and lyricists of color and underrepresented communities can submit their new musicals with a 4-actor cast limit. Selected submissions will receive a $1,000 stipend, housing, meals, and travel.

After a record-breaking cross country search for a new musical, Live & In Color announces WE START IN MANHATTAN by Ariella Serur and Sav Souza as the musical to be developed during the company's 2023 fall retreat.

The June Bingham New Playwright Commission honors the legacy of the late artist and playwright, June Bingham, by providing support to a new generation of early-career women/femme and/or non-binary storytellers as they seek to create work that manifests change in the world. FIM Flint Repertory Theatre will present another world premiere with The Future is Female... by Nandita Shenoy February 3-19.
